About: Votes for Women is one of the country’s most ambitious undertakings to research, collect, document, and share the stories of women’s suffrage movements throughout history and around the world.

Harriet Tubman: Straight Outta’ the Underground

About: Harriet Tubman tells her story as she journeys across the North and South, helping free over 300 slaves in this magnetic, one-woman play.

International Women’s Day Wine Dinner

Where: The Bell Event Centre

About: Commemorate Women’s History Month with a dinner to celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness about women’s equity, and fundraise for women-focused charities. Each ticket for the event includes a four-course dinner with wine pairings, plus reception wines. A portion of the sales will be donated to Dress for Success Cincinnati.

When: March 4 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Price: $100 for an individual, $750 for a table (eight per table)

Let's Talk Womxn of Cincinnati | Dine Together

Where: Digital streaming only

About: Let’s Talk is a national collaboration of over 200 women business owners. Dine with local women chefs and restauranteurs as they discuss sustainable success and gender gaps while owning a small business. The ticket includes a tasting menu to be enjoyed at home with food from six local women-owned restaurants.

Cincinnati’s Strong Women

Where: McMillan Street

About: Discover a brand new art installation created as a collaboration between two Cincinnati nonprofits, Cincinnati Union Bethel and A Picture’s Worth, that will transform a storefront along McMillan Street in Walnut Hills into a celebration of strong women. The multimedia art installation will display images, words, and audio.

Natural Wonders: Pioneering Female Scientists of Cincinnati

About: Join Elissa Yancey as she describes her work mapping the narratives of E. Lucy and Annette Braun as they paved a groundbreaking trail across the American West. The two sisters, and renowned scientists, traveled tens of thousands of miles in the early 20th century, documenting flora and insects.

An Evening with Samantha Power: Discussing “The Education of an Idealist”

Where: The Nancy & David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center (digital streaming only)

About: What can one person do? At a time of upheaval and division, Samantha Power offers an urgent response to this question – and a call for a clearer eye, a kinder heart, and a more open and civil hand in our politics and daily lives.

Women in Leadership & Learning Film Series | American Revolutionary: The Evolution Of Grace Lee Boggs 

Where: University of Cincinnati Women’s Center (digital streaming only)

About: Discover the lasting legacy of Grace Lee Boggs. Boggs was a Chinese American philosopher, writer, and activist in Detroit, and she continually challenged new generations to think creatively and redefine revolution for our times.

FIERCE: Black MotHERstory

Where: Contemporary Arts Center

About: FIERCE: Black MotHERstory is a collaborative exhibition between the Contemporary Arts Center and the Queens Village Cincinnati. As a series of eight workshops, the exhibition creates space for Black mothers to share their stories and reflect on their experiences.

Women in Leadership - Now That You Have a Seat at the Table

About: This evening of open conversation and advice will explore topics such as being your authentic self, navigating race and gender in the workplace, developing a support system, and empowering other women to accomplish their goals.
