Mark your calendars and grab your swim trunks to get ready for an art-filled summer swim party to support the place where art meets community!

From 5pm-8pm outdoors we will have a array of foods and drinks (including tasty Tamales from The Welcome Project, Rhinegeist Beer, and bourbon snow cones!), the requisite dunk tank, a Putt-Putt course designed by artist collaborative SLAPface, a trio of local music performances curated by Rachelle Caplan, a Consensual Hugging Booth, a beach selfy spot, and more!

In the upstairs space at Wave Pool from 6-11pm we’re hosting a Drawing Marathon! In total sports/running/swimming style with numbers on the artist’s back and bleacher seating and popcorn for the fans, from 6pm-11pm each artist or artist team will be drawing continuously, creating an unknown number of works in the time allotted. Just as with any charitable marathon, in the weeks leading up to the event the athletes/artists will be soliciting for sponsorships for their participation. Please consider supporting one of these awesome artist team members! The donations accrued for this event will be split evenly between Wave Pool and the artist participants, furthering Wave Pool’s mission to cultivate artistic development. In addition to the sponsorships, the artworks produced from the event will be sold immediately to support Wave Pool’s mission. There will be drinks. There will be popcorn.
