What Is & What Can Be: Women Of Color & The Struggle For Justice

  • YWCA Greater Cincinnati (map)

This is an exhibit created by the University of Cincinnati as part of a research project focusing on equity. The exhibition centers on the voices and experiences of women of color in Cincinnati, sharing their visions of and hopes for the future.

Multiple women of color express nine areas of intersectionality and how those pressurizing influences shaped their lives.

An interactive art exhibit with featured interviews, booklets and audio tapes; the thoughts of Dr. Carolyn Mazloomi, Yvette Simpson, Maria Cabrera, Dr. Carolette Norwood, Brittany Bibb, Ariel Shaw, Heya Avila, Christina Brown, and Elaina Johns-Wolfe come to life for you on the spot.

Intensely delivered with a take-action approach.
