On the weekend of Jan 19-21, we will flood the streets with kindness! This idea helped launch our group in 2015, and we will celebrate the start of our fourth year of #Kindflash by again collecting, packaging and distributing warm clothing items of hats, gloves, socks, and scarves.

This project will have three stages and you can participate in any or all three. We need:

1. Gatherers: To collect/purchase/make the items - anything warm, small, portable and clean (can be new, handmade or gently used): Socks, Scarves, Hats, Gloves.

2. Venues: Places where folks can drop these items if they are unable to distribute directly - we will limit to 60 venues throughout the city. #Kindflash postcards will be available at each venue to pack along with the items. The full list of drop-off spots is below!

3. Distributors: People to log the items online, pack them along with the postcards (which explain they are free to take), and then tie them to trees/poles in the neighborhood for which they sign up. Each neighborhood should receive a minimum of 20 packages. Cincinnati has 52 neighborhoods and there are 200+ in the Greater Tristate area. We hope to serve a total of 57+ this year. To participate, here are the steps:

1. RSVP on Facebook, share the event on your page and invite at least 10 friends you think would also help

2. Post a comment on the Facebook event with what part of the project you wish to do (Gatherer/Venue/Distributor or all three) along with your EMAIL or some form of contact. If you don't feel comfortable posting email/phone, you can email kindflash@gmail.com

3. Suggest a venue that may participate with donations or serve as a dropoff and help coordinate this.

GOAL - if we serve 57 neighborhoods with 20 donations containing a minimum of 2 items apiece, we will distribute at least 2280 items over the course of one weekend!

Please involve your friends, coworkers, schools and churches in this project for a substantially greater impact.
