Bravo, Cincinnati! One Incredible Weekend

DSC_1314.jpg

This past weekend (October 12-15) was an amazing weekend for the city of Cincinnati. Woman of Cincy, Rachelle Caplan, and her team of badass ladies, threw together a killer Ladyfest, full of "witchy women." Bands from Cincinnati, Detroit, Chicago, Indianapolis, Buffalo, Nashville, and more came to grace Cincinnati with their music, poems, and wisdom.

Cincinnati held it's first ever BLINK festival, spanning over 20 blocks of Over-the-Rhine, The Banks, and Downtown. The festival attracted over a million people and illuminated the streets with wonderment as dozens upon dozens of murals and art installations glowed bright. Food trucks, bands, beer, and a gigantic disco ball added to the party.

We asked our community to describe BLINK in one word:

  • Inspiring
  • AGAIN
  • Bustling
  • Wonderment
  • Community
  • Visual feast
  • Lively
  • Engaging
  • Active

Check out a few shots from the weekend below! Special thanks to our photographers, Aurore Fournier, Stacy Wegley, and Chelsie Walter.
