This #FckItFriday commemorates the highly educated Emma Reynolds.

Reynolds, an Ohio native, is an inspiration in the medical field for African American women as she was the first to be accepted to Northwestern University’s medical school. Though she initially sought out to become a nurse, through her great determination and persistence she would overcome racial barriers, attend medical school, and become a doctor.
