Cincy Summer: Pride, Juneteenth, and more!
Ready for the sunshine? We are, too! That’s why we assembled just a few of the many events happening around the city this summer. With Pride, Juneteenth, art shows, flea markets, live music, movies in the park, good food, and more, you can have some summer fun while supporting our community with these locally organized events.

Modern Women/Modern Vision
Discover the impact of women through the lens of women photographers. From pioneering artists like Dorothea Lange to contemporary trailblazers like Carrie Mae Weems, the Taft Museum’s latest photography exhibition explores how both the art of photography and the impact of women have changed and remained over the century.

Price: Admission is free for Taft members, guests of members with guest pass, military, and youth (18 and under); $12 for adults; $10 for seniors. Non-members save $2 by purchasing tickets online.
Butterflies of the Meadow
What’s better than butterflies and flowers in summer? The Krohn Conservatory’s renowned butterfly extravaganza is now on full display! While you admire the beauty, learn how to help the butterflies in your neighborhood.

Jazz at the Park
Stop by Washington Park to start your week off right. Every Monday in summer, local jazz musicians and artists will fill the city with music to celebrate Cincinnati’s rich music history and current jazz scene.

Cincy Fringe Festival
It’s time for Cincy Fringe! This two-week festival features over 170 performances, theater acts, dances, film screenings, happy hours, workshops, classes, art galleries, and much more. Join in on the fun with Cincy Fringe while celebrating and supporting artists!
Where: Events at the KNOW Theatre, Art Academy of Cincinnati, Gabriel’s Corner, and Main St.

Fountain Square's Indie Friday Concert Series
Fountain Square is the place to be if you’re looking to liven up your Friday nights. A new indie artist will light up the city each Friday and start your weekend off right.

Pride Night at the Observatory
The Cincinnati Observatory celebrates the month of pride with an 18+ pride night! Learn local LGBTQ history and hear from speaker Jacob Hogue about gender-bending masquerades, the red light district, and the legal trials of queer sexuality in our region. You can also participate in a solar viewing, explore the observatory on a self-guided tour, and leave with special pride goodies.

Opera in the Park
Performed by the opera stars of the season, enjoy a night of music and art with the Cincinnati Opera. Arrive early to catch a pre-show from the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Brass Institute.

The City Flea
City Flea is one of the easiest and most fun ways to support local businesses and artists. Sprawling across Washington Park, the City Flea brings together dozens of local vendors for you to discover and find new favorites made by your neighbors.

36th Annual Juneteenth Festival
This is the OG Juneteenth festival! With live music and performances, food, games, art merchants, kids’ activities, and much more, the whole family can join the celebration. SpeakFreely: Juneteenth Evening at the Museum
In celebration of Juneteenth, the SpeakFreely is the modern-day “speakeasy” with drinks, music, food, and community. There will be performances from musicians Destiny L and Chasing Dreams, local poets, and DJ Guy Wes.

Juneteenth Tasting Event 2023 at Findlay Market
Join Findlay Market in savoring great food while supporting Black-owned businesses. This two-day event begins with a panel discussion led by Black community leaders and entrepreneurs. On day two, sample the treats from the market’s vendors, with all proceeds going to Black-owned businesses.

Cincinnati Pride Parade and Festival
It wouldn’t be June without the annual pride parade and festival! Line the streets of downtown to watch the parade and then join the festivities for an all-day celebration at Sawyer Point Park.
Where: Parade begins at 7th Street & Plum and goes through downtown to Sawyer Point Park. Festival is at Sawyer Point Park.

Connect: A Program for Adults with Developmental Disabilities and their Caregivers
Designed for adults with developmental disabilities and their caregivers, discover the Cincinnati Art Museum through a multisensory tour and then gather around to create your own piece of art.

Art on Vine
With over 80 artists, vendors, and merchants, you can support the local art scene and small businesses by exploring this marketplace.

Nightlight 513 Series
Catch a movie in the park while supporting local nonprofits! A DJ will start the night with tunes while you grab a brew and order from a food truck before the movie starts. All ticket and drink proceeds go to local nonprofits – including Women of Cincy! The Women of Cincy team will be there July 13 for “Dazed and Confused” and September 7 for “The Devil Wears Prada” – so stop by and say hi!

29th Annual Cincy Blues Fest
Spend a summer day with the sounds of Cincinnati blues! This one-of-a-kind festival will feature performances by the region’s best blues artists. There will also be food and drink vendors and a kid’s area with games.

July Summer Music Festival at Ault Park
Every summer for over 20 years, Ault Park has brought music and community together. This summer, the performance will be provided by the band Marsha Brady. Local food and drink vendors will be there, along with the Cincinnati Circus for the kids.

Cincy Soul: The Black Taste
Support your local Black-owned businesses while trying new foods and tastes with Cincy Soul: the Black Taste. For this three-day celebration, Black-owned restaurants and food trucks will line the streets near Fountain Square.

Glier's Goettafest
Goetta is a Cincinnati staple, and you can find plenty of it at Glier’s Goettafest. Live music, drinks, and an assortment of food vendors – including goetta – come to the banks of the Ohio River for eight days.

It's Commonly Jazz Summer Series
Cincinnati is known for its jazz scene, and with It’s Commonly Jazz in Eden Park, you can celebrate the women in jazz every week in August.

The Ohio River Paddlefest
This event is uniquely Cincinnati: over 2,000 participants will paddle in kayaks and canoes for nine miles along the banks of the Ohio River, splashing by downtown Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. You can join in on the paddling in your own kayak or canoe or watch and cheer from the banks.

35th Annual Black Family Reunion
With multiple locations across the city, events for the 35th Annual Black Family Reunion include a job fair, music performances, speakers, guided historical tours, food, community gatherings, and much more.
